Schools Links Education Consultancy

Our aim is to empower education practitioners in the delivery of high quality STEM. STEM is the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths into a coherent curriculum that is relevant to the needs of tomorrow’s society.
We focus on three specific areas of education consultancy:
1. Professional development. Through a forward looking programme of in school activities and professional development HETA empowers education practitioners throughout the region in the STEM subjects: Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
2. Industry-school projects. HETA develops and delivers bespoke educational activities on behalf of major clients. We will work with you to develop tailored packages that suit the needs of your industry and the learner.
3. Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) Through the apprentice training and adult education programmes HETA has excellent company links and it is this commitment to industry that means HETA is well placed to give secure IAG on progression routes into engineering, manufacturing and process industries.
To ensure efficient delivery we work closely with many national and local partners including STEMNET STEM Ambassadors programme, local authorities, the main engineering institutions (ICE, IMechE and the IET) and the British Science Association CREST scheme.
Featured on this site is information on all of the projects the HETA Education Links Team are involved with including SMart Futures, GreenSTEM, Crest Awards and the STEM Ambassadors scheme. The Schools Links team is involved in creating and developing supportive relationships with both Primary and Secondary schools in the Humber region.
‘I am lucky enough to have gained a vast array of input from HETA and Mike’s team over a number of years through both prior and present schools links. Without the valuable networks Mike is able to tap into Design and Technology would not be as highly regarded and well connected to other schools subjects; Maths and Science and industrial contexts such as Engineering and Manufacturing.
Mike has worked with us to develop careers awareness of the STEM sectors and the essential work required by these industries from schools and colleges, teamwork and participation challenges, planning STEM clubs and events and offering customised skills workshops to suit specific needs. He has helped to raise the profile of STEM and bring a community of skills and people together’
