CREST Awards

Crest is a nationally recognised, project-based scheme for students aged 11 – 19. CREST Awards enable students to develop their scientific curiosity as well as problem-solving, practical and communication skills for use in the ‘real world’
CREST Awards are available at three levels
Bronze
- 10 hours of project work
- Typically for students age 11-14
- Suitable for special needs students of all ages
- Suitable for ‘CREST in a Day’
- Industrial context encouraged
Silver
- 40 hours of project work
- Typically for students age 14-16
- Links with industry encouraged
Gold
- 100 hours of project work
- Typically for students aged 16+
- Students must be linked with a mentor from industry or higher education
Projects can be in any area of science, engineering and technology and can be chosen by students subject to approval from the teacher and CREST Regional Manager or local STEMPoint.
