Production Manager Steve Batty approached HETA to request some assistance with his workforce recruitment. Having shortlisted around 50 applicants for various operational jobs, Vivergo asked HETA to devise a selection process for these prospective employees. Read More

Tata Steel

Tata Steel have been working with HETA for apprentice training since 2008. Based on the Tata site at Scunthorpe, HETA train around 60 apprentices a year who are all future Tata employees. Read More

Renewable Energy Systems came to HETA with a request to train apprentices to work offshore in the Wind energy industry. HETA created a Renewable energy apprenticeship and RES currently have their first apprentice on the scheme. Read More

HETA has trained apprentices for Logan Teleflex for a number of years. Their Operations Manager Ian Buffey is a former HETA apprentice himself and until recently was a member of the HETA board of trustees. Read More

HEY NHS Trust were a new company to approach HETA regarding sponsoring apprentices. Their 2 apprentices, James Hutchinson and Shane Adamson both were winners at their respective HETA awards nights. Read More

Lee Sansam and Matthew Branton set up Helix Precision in 2003. As a former HETA apprentice himself, Lee has used the advanced apprenticeship scheme to grow his workforce by continually recruiting apprentices and investing in the youth of the local community. Read More

Ecotricity

In 2010, HETA placed 2 apprentices in Renewable energy experts Ecotricity. Their Head of Projects & Operations Simon Vince was so impressed with their progress and the support they recieved from HETA, he is looking to recruit 2 more apprentices in line with Ecotricity's expansion. Read More

Tom attended HETA in 2007 and is currently working for BP as an Instrument Technician. Tom was also the winner of the prestigious Tallow Chandlers Award in 2010. Read More

Chris Holden

Chris Holden attended HETA back in 1978 and believes it gave him the foundations to reach his current position, Offshore Operations Manager at RES Offshore. In addition to Chris, RES has other links with HETA through Steve Danson and current HETA trainee Mike Smith. Read More

Andrew Gallagher

After Andrew completed his 4th year at HETA he became a part of a new Oracle computer system team. This led him to become a project planner and eventually working on developing designs of baggage systems at Gatwick Airport North and South Terminals. Read More

Brin Humphreys

Brin Humphreys attended HETA in 1974 as an ABP apprentice. He has since gone on to be Head of Engineering at DPWorld Southampton and is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
