SMart Futures Presentations

The final of the SMart Futures competition was held at the ARC Centre on the 11th of March. For more information on the winners, click here

During the day, the students took part in an activity called Moja Island in which they had to debate which renewable energy sources to use to power villages on the island.

HEY NHS Trust were a new company to approach HETA regarding sponsoring apprentices. Their 2 apprentices, James Hutchinson and Shane Adamson both were winners at their respective HETA awards nights. Read More

Lee Sansam and Matthew Branton set up Helix Precision in 2003. As a former HETA apprentice himself, Lee has used the advanced apprenticeship scheme to grow his workforce by continually recruiting apprentices and investing in the youth of the local community. Read More

In 2010, HETA placed 2 apprentices in Renewable energy experts Ecotricity. Their Head of Projects & Operations Simon Vince was so impressed with their progress and the support they recieved from HETA, he is looking to recruit 2 more apprentices in line with Ecotricity's expansion. Read More

Andrew Gallagher

After Andrew completed his 4th year at HETA he became a part of a new Oracle computer system team. This led him to become a project planner and eventually working on developing designs of baggage systems at Gatwick Airport North and South Terminals. Read More

Brin Humphreys attended HETA in 1974 as an ABP apprentice. He has since gone on to be Head of Engineering at DPWorld Southampton and is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
