Hydraulic Systems

Hydraulic systems provide the flexible power needed in manufacturing processes and in the moving and handling of heavy equipment or materials. This training and assessment -based course aims to introduce delegates to the essential features of Hydraulic Systems and give an appreciation of Hydraulic Control Systems and its applications in industry. This will be done using hands-on training to include assignments on working hydraulic equipment. Courses can be tailored to customer requirements. Courses can range from single day appreciation sessions for users and supervisors, to more in-depth courses for maintenance staff leading to a formal qualification.

Course Content:

Health & Safety
Safety with high pressure hydraulic oil
Introduction to hydraulic systems
Symbols
Basic circuits
Using pneumatic proximity switches
Logic AND/OR circuits
Complex clamping and stamping
Introduction to fault finding

If required, we can offer a recognised certificate via EAL, either as a VRQ (Level 3) or NVQ (Level 2).
