OBJECTIVE:

This course is designed to help electrical maintenance engineers grasp the basic function of a PLC and then learn how to diagnose, edit and fault find PLC circuits. At HETA we use Mitsubishi PLC’s for this course although most of the course content is generic some of the PLS circuits from other manufacturers, Siemens for example, may differ.

Day 1:
• Digital Mathematics
• Scan Cycles
• Internal Architecture
• IEC 1131
• Input & Output devices
• PNP & NPN devices
Day 2:
• Introduction to Ladder programs
• Ladder programming
Day 3:
• Practical assessment of Day 1 & 2, start and standby Pump System
This course is assessed practically although day’s 1 & 2 are classroom based.
