Cathy Bourne

HR Manager

Cathy has been with HETA since 2000 and is now the HR Manager with responsibility for all staff across the 3 training centres

Cathy began her working life at Barclays Bank. Joining as a school leaver, Cathy spent 16 years at Barclays working her way up to Area Sales and Service Coordinator. During her time with the bank Cathy was asked to create and manage a new customer service department which formed part of a successful pilot that went on to be implemented on a national level.

Cathy joined HETA  as an Accounts Administrator with the further responsibility of managing the apprenticeship funding contract. Over the years, Cathy’s role has moved away from the Accounts function and evolved to include the Human Resource responsibilities for the whole organisation.

To support this move, Cathy has undertaken both the CIPD qualification in Human Resource Practice and completed a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management.
