A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) is a competence-based qualification that recognises the skills, knowledge and understanding that an individual already possesses through a formal summative assessment process.
£2,100 (+ vat) per person
Assessment of the qualification is primarily through the submission of workplace evidence that is assessed by a qualified and experienced workplace assessor. During the qualification individuals will be expected to submit evidence for assessment to their designated assessor and once the assessor is satisfied the individual is meeting the required standard a summative workplace observation with questioning and interview will be arranged.
The is not a course of study or a learning process, a NVQ is an assessment process to prove competence in a job role. There is no requirement to attend any of HETA’s training centres and an individual can expect to see an assessor on between 8 and 10 occasions throughout the qualification which will include reviews of progress and summative assessment.
