The City & Guilds 2377-77 Level 3 Award in the In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
This course is aimed at practising electricians and It is expected that candidates attempting the qualification should be familiar with electrical systems and hazards of electricity in order to satisfactorily complete the qualification. A minimum age of 18 applies to this qualification.
This course is not suitable for individuals whose only electrical responsibility is the testing of portable appliances.

City & Guilds 2377-77 is the recognised qualification for people undertaking the practical in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment (previously referred to as PAT Testing). The qualification is based on the IET Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment 5th edition, published by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
