This is more than just a teaching job—it’s a career-transforming opportunity. As an Engineering Lecturer, you’ll deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences to apprentices and adult learners. This role is primarily classroom-based, guiding learners through topics such as:

  • Mechanical Principles & Engineering Maths
  • Engineering Science & Design
  • Fluid Mechanics & CAD
  • Health & Safety & Lean Manufacturing
  • Professional Engineering Management
  • Production Engineering
  • Quality and Process Improvements
  • Supervising Level 3 & 4 engineering projects and Level 5 research projects

Who We’re Looking For

We’re searching for industry professionals who are ready to inspire, mentor, and shape the engineers of tomorrow. If you have:

  • A degree in engineering or a related field
  • Significant industry experience
  • Strong technical and IT skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A genuine passion for teaching and developing others

Then you might be the perfect fit! Teaching experience is NOT required—we provide full training and support to help you transition into an educator’s role.

Location & Travel

Your primary base will be our Hull training centre, with occasional travel to Grimsby and Scunthorpe. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

Join a Safe & Supportive Workplace

At HETA, safeguarding is our priority. All successful candidates must pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

HETA is dedicated to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equal opportunity workplace.
