Humberside Engineering Training Association - HETA

The leading engineering training provider in the Yorkshire and Humber region

HETA Secures Skills Bootcamp Funding to Help Employers Upskill Their Workforce

HETA Secures Skills Bootcamp Funding to Help Employers Upskill Their Workforce

HETA is delighted to announce that we have secured funding through the Government’s Skills Bootcamp programme to help employers across Hull and the East Riding upskill their existing workforce in key engineering disciplines.

Through this exciting initiative, HETA is delivering four fully funded training programmes in:

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Multi-skilled Engineering
  • Fabrication and Welding

These programmes are designed to help local employers enhance the technical capability of their teams, filling crucial skills gaps and boosting productivity. Thanks to the Skills Bootcamp funding, employers will only contribute between 10% and 30% of the total training cost, depending on business size – with the rest funded by the Government. It’s a fantastic opportunity to invest in your people and strengthen your business while significantly reducing training spend. However, the funding must be used by the end of March 2026, and places are strictly limited, so early registration is essential.

Iain Elliott, Chief Executive of HETA, said:“The engineering and manufacturing sectors across our region need a pipeline of highly skilled workers to stay competitive. This Skills Bootcamp funding gives employers a fantastic way to do just that – to invest in their teams, develop the skills they need, and do so in a cost-effective way.”

The courses are delivered as short, modular-based programmes, developed directly in response to employer feedback. This flexible format allows businesses to choose the specific skills most relevant to their needs, minimising disruption to operations while maximising impact.

Employers interested in taking advantage of this opportunity should get in touch today at training@heta.co.uk to secure their place.
